The Zucker Hillside Hospital’s multidisciplinary Early Treatment Program (ETP) was specifically developed to provide targeted, state of the art care to adolescents and young adults in the early stages of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Modeled after the National Institute of Mental Health’s (NIMH) early psychosis initiative and designed by world renowned experts, ETP is a premier center offering optimal assessment and evidence based treatments known to improve the lives of people with early phase illness. This unique service follows novel principles of care including shared decision making, youth friendly and welcoming environments, and flexible and accessible recovery oriented interventions.

  • A personal recovery coach for managing stress, solving problems and achieving goals

  • Individual, group and family therapy
  • Technological resources to assist in disease management: computers, smart phones and two-way video
