Jon Makhmaltchi is a luxury travel professional with more than 25 years of expertise working with the world’s finest hospitality brands. Throughout his career, he’s been a part of nearly every aspect of the hospitality business, from sales and management to hotel openings, including a stint at the front desk. His mother even maintains that his first two words were “room service”!
After heading up sales for a leading luxury hotel consortium this Manhattan native launched J.MAK Hospitality in 2013 to help brands build relationships and partnerships in fun, innovative and authentic ways. He and his team work with luxury hotels, destination experts and other travel related services around the world to connect them with key travel agency partners and broader audiences who will impact their businesses and drive awareness. A natural connector, personal relationships have always been the foundation of Jon’s work. And Jon’s personality, and the personalities of his clients, shine through in the work of J.MAK Hospitality.
Jon lives in Rhinecliff, N.Y. with his husband, 5-year-old son, infant daughter, and two cats. He’s known for fast (and funny) email responses, and for his catchphrases “HOORAY!!!”, “OMG!!!” and “LUVYA!!”
