The revised details surrounding the opening of the borders confirm that on October 1, 2020, the Cayman Islands will begin its phased border reopening, only allowing Cayman Airways and British Airways repatriation flights as well as private charter flights. The destination will not be open to commercial airlift. All travellers arriving to the Cayman Islands must register via Travel Time and will be subject to 14-day quarantine in pre-approved residential and government facilities. After two-weeks of self-isolation, travellers will undergo an additional PCR test. To enforce these requirements, the Government will provide electronic monitoring devices to aid in geofencing for those quarantining at home.
Should any guests be interested in going to the island via private plane to stay at one of their villas for a longer stay starting on October 1, 2020, the team at Luxury Cayman Villas is happy to personally help navigate immigration/COVID-19 protocols as needed to enter the Cayman Islands.
