Barefoot, you can take the little sandy path which winds through flowers and multicoloured plants to get to Pelican Beach and its crystal blue waters. As Nicolas Sibuet, who designed this chic desert island project, explains: “We wanted to create something bohemian in a prime location because being on the seafront here is exceptional. And the Bay of Saint Jean is a corner of is an absolute piece of paradise, very well located, with Gustavia close by.” From this winter, it is possible to rent one of the four cottages, with a choice of à la carte hotel services from Maisons et Hôtels Sibuet properties, such as breakfast in your villa. Gyp Sea Beach Club is also very close by. Built from wood and stone from the island itself, these luxury, ultra-cosy “huts” have offer 1 to 3 bedrooms; each has its own private garden, a terrace, and for the larger lodgings, a pool. As for the decor, an elegant simplicity is called for: sandy shades, and raw, natural materials (polished concrete, parquet flooring), taken to the next level with vintage furnishings and colourful touches.
